2. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). Each time this website is accessed, the server automatically records technically necessary data (server logs), including IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type and operating system.
Processing takes place to ensure stable operation and to prevent abuse, based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Log files are automatically deleted after 7 days at the latest.
A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner.
3. Contact form
If you use the contact form on this website, the data you enter (name, email address, message) is transmitted to me by email and stored in order to process your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
To protect against automated spam, a hidden form field (honeypot) and a limit on the number of submissions per IP address and time period are used. Your IP address is processed briefly for this purpose and then automatically deleted.
Your contact form data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
4. Cookies and audience measurement
This website sets no technically necessary cookies. For audience measurement it uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The service is loaded only after your explicit consent. Until you agree, no connection to Google is established, no data is transmitted and no information is stored on or read from your device. If you decline, the website works exactly the same.
With your consent, cookies are set that allow an analysis of how you use this website. This includes pages viewed, time on page, device and browser used, and the referring page. Your IP address is truncated before it is stored (anonymize_ip). Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled, so the data is not used for advertising purposes.
Transfer to the United States cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with Google.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: withdraw consent. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection (Art. 21 GDPR) regarding your personal data. Simply contact me by email.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, typically the one in your habitual place of residence or the authority responsible for me: the Saxon Commissioner for Data Protection and Transparency, Dresden, Germany (www.datenschutz.sachsen.de).
